No milk on Fridays
Bournemouth is a party town, full of students and nightclubs and this has consequences. A few weeks ago, a group of "youths" ran along the road where our office manager lives, smashing a window of every car they passed. Now our milkman is saying he won't deliver on Fridays because when he does his round 4am it's then stolen by people leaving the clubs.

Ah well, I daresay all our coppers are busy filling in forms and making sure they abide by every petty rule, even whilst people's property is destroyed.
Give 'em a good doing I say! ( Oh sorry, problem there, if you defend a) yourself b) your property you will be the one arrested.)
Where are the police when this happens. The University should be informed about their students behaviour. In Belfast householders complained to the Universities about their students behaviour. The students now run the risk of getting expelled if they misbehave.
A sad tale of our times, WW.
Let's hope it was a one off. I remember coming home with the milk float after parties in my single days. Smashing car windows is inexcusable, I hope the villains were caught on CCT camera.
I am a university student myself. Although i am not in Bournemouth i can tell you that in my city it is not the students who go out on Friday and Saturday nights, it is the people from 9-5 jobs like yourselves. The students stay at home because the clubs increase drinks prices on the weekend and students simply can't afford it. Student nights in the week are very popular and pass with no violence. The police know this so they have a minimal presence. However at the weekend all the 9-5's come out and binge on cocktails and coke and smash windows hence their is a visible police presence. As for the milk... students will always be students!
Hi all. I have a great mental picture of you on a milk float, Ellee! Greetings Anon - no 9-5rs in this office!
