Too true my friend, too true, Is there an " as" missing?
You should ask The Bard about the missing "as" KL!
Ah well - I know that. I was meaning why did he leave it out? Did he mean to say "THEN come not single spies,but battalions"? Or "THERE come not single spies?"Only his editor messed up... !
I don't think the words are wrong or missing - they simply fit the metre.
true - but every English teacher would lambast their pupils for incorrect English! I suppose The Bard, though, as the apotheosis of English as what she is spoke, is allowed....
