There are two sides to a Balance Sheet- Left & Right ( Liabilities and Assets respectively). On the Left side there is nothing right.. and on the right side there is nothing left

Well, even West Ham is doing a bit better financially than the Icelanders.
And nothing left? Hm yes perhaps too true. But I stick with my posit - 4250 FTSE = BUY!
Hi Mopsa - it was a sort of pyramid scheme based on property prices which was fine in a rising property market. However once the property fall in value, there is insufficient collateral for the loans so the "assets" disappear.
