Bluebell woods

What better tonic for the spirits than to walk through the bluebell woods?

Beautiful photo, WW.
There is a forest near Brussels with bluebells. Some 25km away. Recently gangs have been stealing the flowers to sell them on markets.

Bonjour ED - I remember you were walking in those woods last year.

Hi Mopsa - no, sorry, it's not - my photos are on my home computer (I'm just getting into this photo lark...)

I haven't seen a Scottish bluebell, KL. Don't tell me it's a sort of blue tartan colour?

WW- no they are merely differently shaped. English people assume all bluebells are the same, but actuallyy they are not.
It is said that when the Argylls marched into battle at, I think , one of the Ypres they wore a Scottish Bluebell in their caps.
How someone managed to get a thousand or so flowers to the front line is not mentioned....
