I am permanently astonished at how long lived the icons from the 60's and 70's have been . A few have dropped off the perch ( Jimi Hendrix springs to mind) but in general they are going strong. I once met Cream with Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce in the Botel in Amsterdam in about 1968, and at the time I'd have given them all about 10 days.....
