No strings pulled
My friend was in a long queue for Avis at a regional airport in France. He vaguely recognised the couple in front of him, admiring the lady's shapely legs, and then he remembered who they were: the Middletons! Eventually he plucked up the courage to speak to them with this opening gambit:
"I thought that the whole point of having a son-in-law like yours was to avoid queues like this!"

How amazing . We had the same experience at the BA and Avis desks at Edinburgh airport a few weeks ago. Their behaviour in the queues indicated that they must have taken your friends advice to heart.
I remember you said you'd spotted them, Angus.
Hmmm I wouldn't want the parents to ruin the good rep of the No3 and 4 in line to the throne. I rather like the president of the Swiss Confederation who to this day takes the ordinary bus to work every day. I too have dispensed with minders, bodyguards and flunkys......
Bravo KL!
