Bye for now
I'm over the moon today as I'm off on hols tomorrow and not back to this desk until 27 December. I'm flying to Singapore tomorrow to stay a night with "the Burmese kitten" Jessica and then off to Melbourne the following day and land there at 6am on Friday morning. I've never been to Australia so am greatly looking forward to it and to some sunshine. Hope to post something from Oz next week. Toodle pip!

Have a wonderful time on holiday. No white Christmas for you;I hope the sun shines and you can have Christmas dinner on the beach. One of my daughters spent part of her honeymoon in Singapore;you must find time to have a drink in Raffles. Happy Christmas

Have a wonderful time in one of my fave cities - Melbourne. Enjoy a day out in the Dandenong Hills and spot yourself a wombat. If you have time, do go down to Philip Island one evening and watch the parade of fairy penguins as they come up the beach from a day of feeding in the ocean to go to their burrows. It's one of the most delightful sights I've ever seen. Also if you have time, it's worth a 3 hr drive to go north to Echuca to see the old 'paddlers' which used to be the main freight transport along the Murray. Sorry to go on a bit and I'm sure you have it all covered!
