Ronald Reagan has been vindicated: "mad dog" Gaddafi is back to his old tricks. Did we ever really buy the story that the regime had had a change of heart? Oil, arms, cash...such is the way of the world. Politicians, please spare us the moralising.
I was in command of around 250 infantry troops in Tobruk when Gadaffi did his bloodless revolt against King Idris who was out of the country at the time. We had sufficient ground and air assets (including a squadron of Phantoms) in the area at the time to stop Gadaffi. However we had very little or no intelligence on the nature of the revolt so we were told to sit back, observe and report. Wish we had had better info.

Once a mad dog, always a mad dog. Another really scarey monster.

Hello Portinari - you could have changed the course of history but perhaps you did anyway?
Hello WW.
In your picture of El Loco the woman on the right is, I am sure, the 'busty' blonde 'nurse' from the Ukraine.

You have good eyesight, Portinari!
