Quotation of the day

In 1979 Harold Macmillan unveiled a bust of Margaret Thatcher by Oscar Nemon at the Carlton Club and muttered in a stage whisper heard throughout the room, "I must remember I am unveiling a bust of Margaret Thatcher, not Margaret Thatcher's bust."

Next time you or any of your readers are in Hall in 'The House' in Oxford have a look at Nemon's bust of HM The Queen and I may tell you somewhat of it. The bust is behind the High Table. Clue is in the neck. Intrigued?
