In 1979 Harold Macmillan unveiled a bust of Margaret Thatcher by Oscar Nemon at the Carlton Club and muttered in a stage whisper heard throughout the room, "I must remember I am unveiling a bust of Margaret Thatcher, not Margaret Thatcher's bust."
